Why teachers like it

  • Every child can succeed

Open-ended building means there's no single right answer. Confident builders stretch themselves while others explore at their own pace.

  • Learning you can see

Turning 2D shapes into 3D models builds spatial reasoning, problem-solving, fine motor skills and early engineering thinking.

  • Built for sharing

Children can build alone or combine their pieces into one big group creation, practising collaboration and turn-taking.

  • Quiet and quick to tidy

Pieces are light, soft and stack flat, so packing away takes a minute, not a lesson.

  • Hygienic for shared use

Pieces can be washed in water or the dishwasher between groups.

  • Inclusive by design

Clixo is designed for children of all abilities and is used for sensory play and fine motor practice.

Packs that work well for groups

Bigger packs give more children something to build with at once. Tell us how many children you're planning for and we'll suggest a mix.

Ideas to get started

  • Build a creature that doesn't exist yet, then name it and describe its habitat
  • Make a vehicle that rolls the furthest down a ramp, and test why
  • Recreate a shape from nature: a flower, a bird, a fish
  • Work in pairs: one describes a build, the other builds it without looking
  • Count, sort and pattern pieces by colour and shape with younger children
